The Beginning
Ursula and Werner Hohmann open a Viennese Cafehouse and adjacent one room to exhibit local artists, Galerie Hohmann.
Expansion
The gallery and the cafe are separated and the gallery now occupies the larger space in the building. Continuously, the gallery hosts 6-8 exhibitions a year and numerous additional cultural events.
Kunstverlag Christian Hohmann
The elder son, Christian Hohmann, joins the family business by publishing fine prints of some of the gallery's artists. Most notable, the Viennese Phantastic Realist, Prof. Rudolf Hausner.
Hamburg
While still studying art history, Christian opens his first gallery in Hamburg, making him the youngest gallery owner in the city at age 21.
Collaboration
Collaboration with the senior Hamburg art dealer and gallerist Thomas Levy. Move into a shared gallery house on the famous Milchstrasse, the former Jil Sander Villa.
Berlin
Opens a gallery showroom in Berlin Mitte, Linienstrasse.
Palm Desert
Christian Hohmann moves to Palm Desert, California to run the Hart Gallery, US sister gallery to the parents' gallery in Germany.
Hohmann Fine Art
After the retirement-related closing of the Hart Gallery, Christian opens his own gallery on the same street, Hohmann Fine Art.
HOHMANN
rebranding the gallery to HOHMANN including a trademark on the family name.
Village Court
Purchase of a gallery building at 44651 Village Court in Palm Desert and move from El Paseo to the new location.
